Statement of Faith
The Tapiola Apostolic Lutheran Church recognizes as true, the Christian Doctrine, based on the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible (KJV). We believe God's Word to be the highest authority of spiritual governance in all matters for both individuals and the Church (God's Kingdom on earth).
As a church we subscribe to what Luther has outlined briefly as the Apostles Creed, which we believe to be consistent with the Holy Scriptures, and stated briefly as follows:
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick (living) and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.
The principle calling (duty) of this church shall be the propagation of the true doctrine, which shall manifest itself in the preaching of repentance and the remission (forgiveness) of sins in Jesus' name (Luke 24:47)
